CONTEST WILL TAKE PLACE BY THE MAIN MALL ENTRANCE RIGHT WHERE THE US GOLDEN KNIGHTS WILL BE LANDING!! HOW COOL IS THAT!!!

CATEGORY & PRIZES

ADULT SOLO ARTIST: 18+
JUNIOR SOLO ARTIST: 13-18
YOUTH SOLO ARTIST: 8-12
YOUTH SOLO ARTIST: Under 8
FAMILY/TEAM/GROUP: Must have 1 lead artist 18 years of age.

AWARDS:

BEST OF THE BEST in each category. Voted on by the Artist Staff at Captured on Canvas.

VIEWERS CHOICE anyone can vote for their favorites in each category!

CHALK TIME! 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

RULES:

For the Holiday weekend, our theme for this event is PATRIOTIC! All designs must be patriotic themed.
Artwork must be original. Artwork must be appropriate for all viewers and non-political.
Can ONLY use WASHABLE CHALK
Each Artist or Group will get a 4'x4' area to chalk. Design MUST fit into the lines and can not go beyond the square lines.
Judging: will be based on creativity, skills, color, and effort.
Organizer has the rights to disqualify or remove an artist or their artwork if it does not follow our guidelines.

Chalk Kit will also be available for purchase that day of the event. Click more info under ticket name for color list and what is included. Or you are welcome to bring your own. (MUST BE WASHABLE)

HOW TO VOTE FOR "VIEWERS CHOICE AWARD":

Please arrive at our check-in table between 1:15-2:15 to recieve your voting tickets. All we will need is your name! Anyone can vote! Each individual will only get to vote once.
You will then recieve 2 voting tickets for each age group (totalling 10 tickets)
You will then get to drop your ticket(s) in the bucket next to the artwork(s) you find was well done! In each age group you can give one artist both your votes if you feel they did an outstanding job or vote for 2 different artists with-in the same group if you find 2 outstanding artists. Please vote farily based on skills and creativity!
You will have until 2:30pm to cast your votes. As winners will be announced shortly after!
Any votes that are dropped into the wrong age group will automatically be voided. So make sure you put the correct age vote/ticket to the correct artist age group.

How do I pay with a FREE Punch Card?

We have converted to Loyalty Points! Create an account on our website to start earning Paint Paints to a FREE Paint Party Pass!
Please contact the store if you have a physical Punch Card that you are using for payment or stop in-store and we will convert your Punches to Points! :)

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel 24 hours or more prior to the event, credit can be transferred to another event or put on hold for up to 3 months. If not used within the 3 months, credit will be lost.
Loss of payment will occur if no notification of cancellation occurs or if notification occurs with-in 24 hours prior to the event.
If an event has low attendance it may get CANCELLED. A notification will be sent out and option to transfer the credit to another event within 60 days will be offered.

Beverage Policy

We are a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) Studio. You may bring your own Beer or Wine if 21 years of age or older and must show I.D. No liquor allowed! Alchollic beverages can only be consumed within our store. Any open container with-in any other area in the mall is not allowed and can be subject to public intoxication.

Snacks Policy

We area a BYOS (Bring Your Own Snacks) Studio.

What do need to bring?

Not a thing, unless you wish to bring your own snacks or beverages (see terms & conditions for details). We supply everything to create the painting and supply aprons to cover your clothing! Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available to purchase in-store.

What to expect?

A fun and relaxing painting experience! No need for experience, we guide the painting set-by-step by a local artist so ANYONE can follow along!

Ages Requirements?

For our kids events we recommend ages 6 years or older. If child is young then 6, they can still participate if accompanied by an adult.

For our adult events, 16 years or older is recommended. If younger than 16, they can still participate if accompanied by an adult.

Do I Tip The Artist/Staff?

Tips are not expected, but if you really enjoyed your time at our studio and the artist/staff did a great job and was helpful, tips are greatly appreciated and let's us know we are doing a great job!

Do I need a reservation?

No, We offer all of our DIY activities, including ceramic painting, mosaics, splatter booth, wreath and candle making anytime during store hours. For GROUPS LARGER THAN 8 a call ahead is appreciated.

How long does the activity take?

As long you like! Typically plan 2 hours for most of our DIY activities. All depends on the project and detail you apply to a project! Splatter Booth is booked for 1 hour + setup time and cleanup.

How much does it cost?

Prices are listed on each project in the store. The only time an optional additional charge may apply is if you wish for a glossy finish applied to your ceramic.

When can I take the project home?

You can take the project home upon completion! This is a list of the itmes you would need to come back for

Candles, take 2 hours to set
Splatterbooth, takes about 2 hours to dry
Ceramics, ONLY IF you pay for the glossy finish. This typically is a 2-5 day turn around.

Can I take the project home and do it?

We offer a Take & Paint Kit for all of our ceramics! At no extra charge, you can pick out your ceramic and it will come with 5 paint colors, 2 paint brushes, color mixing guide, and a palette container

What if I don't complete the project when at the studio?

You will still need to take your project home with you and hopefully you can finish at home! If not, you can come back another day and pay a studio fee of $7 to complete your project.
